the formation of Smart Card Applications, the partners were
all involved in the smart card industry and have built up extensive
hands-on experience.

The group
contains a unique mix of specialist commercial skills and international
technical experience. The group skills are recognised and have
been contracted by some of the leading companies in Australia.

of the group lies in its hands-on experience gained working
in-house on developments ranging across GSM and other card operating
systems, embedded systems, system access control, closed and
open electronic purse implementations, multi-card and PC platforms.
The group has expertise in Java systems, PC platform, C++ and
PC software development.
The common
theme for the Smart Card Applications approach is advanced e-commerce
service delivery using the potential for security, customer
convenience, and flexibility enabled by smart card and other
advanced technologies. The Internet will drive requirements
for new levels of user security based on smart card technology.
The group
consists of two complementary business activities: Thinking
Smart Pty Ltd and Smart Card Products Pty Ltd. Thinking Smart
provides commercial consultation for the planning processes
involved in the introduction of smart card technology to an
organisation. Thinking Smart matches business requirements to
technology capability. Smart Card Products develops applications
and other software, integrates systems and implements the solutions
